We’re Todd and Megan Potter, owners and operators of Charleston Custom Shutters, LLC located in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Both natives of Virginia, we met at Virginia Tech in 2003 and fell in love with Charleston during our college years.
We made the move to Charleston in 2005 and started our journey on Folly Beach, moving to James Island and eventually to Mt. Pleasant. Todd began his career in marine construction where he gained valuable experience with large scale projects building docks, sea walls, and boat lifts all over the Lowcountry.
During this time, we also renovated our first two homes and became addicted to the design and remodeling process. Eventually, after spending 12 years as a software executive, Todd decided to follow his passion for construction and start this business to help our neighbors find premium window treatment products at great prices.
Megan loves interior design and is always happy to help customers make design decisions. She currently handles our social media and other behind the scenes aspects of the business while also continuing her career as a part-time speech language pathologist.
Our goal is to create a top notch customer experience from start to finish! When we aren’t busy making your window dreams come true, you can find us out on the water spending time with our two children. As parents of a young family (including two dogs), we understand the needs of modern homeowners and are committed to helping you create functional and beautiful living spaces that will work for your lifestyle now and into the future.
